D.A Nelson
I’ve always been a bit of a bookworm. Ever since I can remember, I’ve had a real love of stories and, as soon as I learned to read, I was off and devouring ever book I could lay my hands on.
All my pocket money was carefully saved and spent on buying books, with the exception of the odd ten pence, which I held back to buy sweeties…in those days, when I was about five or six, ten pence went a long way and could get you a packet of crisps and a five pence mix-up!
I was also a regular at our local library in Neilston, where I grew up, and badgered my parents to take me down there every single week until I was old enough to go myself.
I must have read nearly every child’s book that place had, my favourites being the fairytales and adventure stories.
Um…what else would you like to know about me? I’m married to Ian and, with our young daughter, Emma, we live near Helensburgh. We don’t have any pets, although I would very much like some dogs and some chickens.
I have been writing down stories almost as long as I’ve been able to read and I still have some little books I wrote as a child. My ambition has always been to write novels and I’m delighted that after all this time of trying, my book has been published.
